Bathrooms, styles and trends

Throughout history and interior design, bathrooms have occupied an important place in homes. In ancient Rome, these spaces were not only toilets but true meeting places for politicians and philosophers.

Currently, the bathroom is no longer a purely functional room, limited to hygiene routine to become an area of privacy and beauty, fit for comfort.

The materials used to build and decorate the bathrooms have been diverse: while in the recent past used only decorators and marble tiles, is now frequently used materials such as stainless steel, concrete, acrylic and glass.

Although the trends are very different, we can distinguish two aspects in the design and decoration of these important spaces. On the one hand we have the minimalist bathrooms, neutral colors and smooth, simple lines and clear spaces, if this design style is combined with the use of cool colors (purple, lavender, white), you can create an effect of rest and relaxation.

A second trend is inclined to the baths of ethnic rather cut materials such as wood, wicker and ivory. This aspect is more common to choose warm colors of the spectrum (brown, orange, yellow) and its effect is energy.

In both cases it is important to consider the harmonious use of materials and, above all, ensure proper lighting for a dark space to do comfortably impede our daily routines, hygiene and beauty.

You choose the trend that reflects your personality, which fits your particular concept of comfort to that place so intimate.
